Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver coordinated, high-quality care in a busy emergency department. You'll work as part of a collaborative team, supervising assigned nursing staff, managing patient flow, and coordinating interdisciplinary care in a fast-paced acute setting.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36- or 48-hour weeks
- 13-week contract
- Day shift
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care using the nursing process
- Supervise and direct nursing staff activities
- Collect and analyze patient data to inform care decisions
- Develop and monitor progress on care plans
- Educate patients and families; coordinate discharge planning
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care team members
- Delegate appropriately among healthcare team members
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in California
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
- Current BLS certification
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
