Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse – Des Moines, IA
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse for a 13-week contract beginning October 26, 2026. You'll work in a high-volume cardiac catheterization lab performing diagnostic and interventional procedures, including structural heart and electrophysiology cases.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM (4x10s)
- Random day off during the week
- Call schedule: 1–2 nights per week; every third weekend (Friday 7:30 PM through Monday 7:00 AM)
- Flexibility required: Must be willing to float to other campus locations as needed
- Holiday commitment: Required to work 1–2 of the 3 upcoming winter holidays (unless the unit is closed)
Core Requirements
- 24+ months of current Cardiac Cath Lab experience (required)
- Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license (required)
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications (required)
- Circulating and monitoring experience (required)
- Professional reference from supervisor/manager within past 24 months (preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Structural heart experience
- Electrophysiology (EP) experience
- Travel nursing background
- Scrubbing experience
- Trauma Level I or II experience

- You must live at least 50 miles from the facility (verified by driver's license)
- 9-week guaranteed minimum
