Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week contract in Los Angeles. This is a day shift role (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM), working 5 days per week with no weekend or on-call requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine technology experience
- Current California Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) license
- Fluoroscopy permit
- ARRT N certification
- CNMT certification
- BLS certification
- Diploma or technical certificate in nuclear medicine
- Active, unrestricted California license at time of submission
- First-time travelers welcome
Key Responsibilities
You will perform a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures including:
- SPECT imaging (3-phase bone, whole-body, sestamibi parathyroid scans)
- PET scans
- MUGA scans
- HIDA scans
- Gastric emptying studies
- DEXA scans
- IV insertion and maintenance
- Proper handling and disposal of radioactive materials
Position Details
- Float Requirement: Yes — you must be flexible with assignments across the department
- No Pending Licenses: Valid, active license required
- Vaccination: Flu vaccination required; no declinations or exemptions permitted
