Physical Therapist – Outpatient
Position Overview
The facility's outpatient physical therapy department is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to deliver comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients in an outpatient clinic setting. You'll work Monday through Friday in a collaborative team environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: Day shift, 09:00 AM – 05:30 PM (8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday)
- Contract Duration: 14 weeks
- Weekend Coverage: Confirm with unit
- Float Requirement: You'll float within your skillset to meet facility needs
- On-Call: No
- Time Off: Up to 2 pre-approved time-off requests per contract
Requirements
- License: Valid Maryland state or compact PT license required at time of submission
- Experience: Minimum 3 years; community hospital and outpatient clinic experience required
- Certifications: BLS required; Manual Therapy required
- Preferred Skills: Dry Needling, Hand Therapy
- Clinical Background: Demonstrated experience with geriatric, neurologic, and orthopedic patient populations
- Equipment Proficiency: Crutches, gait belts, lower-extremity prosthetics, shoulder slings, soft/hard collars, traction tables
- Core Competencies: Assessment, evaluation, plan-of-care development, home exercise programming, patient/family education, safety and injury prevention, documentation, vital-sign monitoring
