Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Sayre, PA
13-Week Contract | 3×12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
This MS Tele unit manages a diverse, high-acuity cardiac and vascular patient population. You'll care for patients undergoing or recovering from procedures including cardiac catheterization, ablation, TAVR, CABG (post-24-hour), peripheral vascular intervention, and post-neurosurgery, as well as patients with CVA, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, seizure disorders, and amputations. Cardiac drip management is a core part of the role.
Schedule & Logistics
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
- Float position — clinicians float within scope to meet unit needs
- No on-call required
- RTO: 5 days or fewer preferred
- Candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
Required Certifications
- BLS and ACLS (required)
- NIHSS and TCAR (preferred)
Key Clinical Skills
- Telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management
- Cardiac and vasoactive drip management and titration
- Central line, PICC line, and peripheral IV care
- BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula management
- Blood product administration and heparin protocols
- Tracheostomy care, pacemaker management, and IABP (training provided)
- Rapid Response and Code team utilization
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Active PA RN license required — pending licenses not accepted
- First-time travelers welcome
- Approximately 4 hours of non-billable pre-start modules required
