Pediatric RN – Night Shift | Lubbock, TX | 16-Week Contract

This is a great opportunity for first-time travelers with at least one year of pediatric nursing experience. The unit serves infants, pediatrics, and adolescents across a dedicated children's hospital setting, managing a diverse range of acuity levels and diagnoses.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3x12-hour shifts
• 5 weekend shifts per 6-week period
• On-call required based on unit census
• Float between units required; travelers may also be asked to float to nearby sister facilities
• Block schedules not required
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Clinical Scope

The unit cares for pediatric patients ranging from infants to adolescents. Key clinical skills include:

• BiPAP/CPAP management
• Central line and implanted line care
• Breastfeeding support and breast milk handling
• Enteral feedings (bottle, breast, gavage)
• Hyperbilirubinemia management
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia management
• Oxygen delivery systems
• Isolation precautions and PPE

Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, social services, radiology, and rapid response teams.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience
• Active compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• BLS and PALS required
• 2 professional references covering the past 3 years
• Scrub color: Navy (RN)
• Free parking on site

All RTO requests must be submitted upfront at the time of submission. Post-offer RTO requests may not be honored.
