Pediatric RN — Travel Contract | Lubbock, TX
Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 16-Week Contract
This children's hospital is seeking an experienced Pediatric RN for a 16-week travel assignment. First-time travelers with at least one year of pediatric experience are welcome to apply.
Shift & Schedule
- Days, 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Weekends required: 5 shifts per 6-week period
- On-call required based on unit census
- Holiday commitment: must work 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Float between pediatric units required; refusal to float may impact assignment status
Clinical Scope
The unit cares for infants, pediatric, and adolescent patients across a general pediatric med/surg setting. Skills utilized include:
- BiPAP/CPAP management
- Central line and implanted line care
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Hyperbilirubinemia management
- Oxygen delivery systems
- Gavage, bottle, and breastfeeding support/breast milk handling
- Isolation precautions/PPE
Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, social services, radiology, phlebotomy, rapid response, and interpretation services.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric RN experience
- Active BLS and PALS certifications
- Compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of submission
- 2 professional references (within the last 3 years, covering at least 1 year)
- All RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal
