Pediatric RN — Night Shift | Lubbock, TX

This is a great opportunity for a Pediatric RN to join a dedicated children's unit in Lubbock, TX. First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3×12-hour shifts
- Weekends required: 5 shifts per 6-week period
- On-call required based on unit census
- Holiday commitment required: must work 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Unit Overview
This pediatric med/surg unit serves infants, pediatric, and adolescent patients. The care team is supported by physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and interpretation services.
Clinical Skills Required
- BiPAP/CPAP management
- Central line/implanted line care
- Oxygen delivery systems
- Feedings (bottle, breast, gavage)
- Hyperbilirubinemia management
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Breastfeeding support and breast milk handling
- Isolation precautions/PPE
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric RN experience
- Active BLS and PALS certifications
- Compact RN license (must be in hand at submission)
- Candidates living within 50 miles may be considered at an adjusted rate

- Scrub color: Navy
- Float between units and potentially nearby sister facilities required; refusal to float may impact assignment
- All RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal
- 12-hour orientation
