Pediatric RN — Night Shift | Lubbock, TX | 16-Week Contract

This is a night shift travel opportunity on a Pediatric Med/Surg unit caring for infants, children, and adolescents across a range of acuity levels. First-time travelers with at least one year of pediatric experience are welcome to apply.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3x12-hour shifts
• Start date: November 2, 2026 | 16-week contract
• Weekends required: 5 shifts per 6-week period
• On-call required based on unit census
• No block scheduling

Clinical Scope

The unit manages a pediatric patient population from infancy through adolescence. Expected clinical skills include:

• BiPAP/CPAP management
• Central line and implanted line care
• Oxygen delivery systems
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Breastfeeding support and breast milk handling
• Gavage and bottle feedings
• Hyperbilirubinemia management
• Isolation precautions/PPE

Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response, radiology, phlebotomy, and social services.

Float Requirement

Floating between units and potentially to nearby sister facilities is required. Refusal to float may impact guaranteed hours.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience (pediatric preferred)
• Active compact RN license required at time of submission
• Certifications: BLS, PALS
• 2 professional references within the last 3 years
• Must commit to 3 of 5 designated holidays
