Neuro Telemetry RN – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility seeks a Neuro Telemetry RN for night shifts in a fast-paced acute care setting. You'll care for patients with neurological conditions including stroke, trauma, neurosurgical recovery, and epilepsy monitoring.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 3x12-hour (19:00–07:00)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekends: 6 per 6-week cycle (required)
- Float: Yes, between units as needed
- Call: No
Patient Population & Clinical Scope
Care for post-acute neurological patients including:
- TIA/stroke (Comprehensive Stroke Center)
- Neurosurgical cases (ACDF, TLIF, XLIF, craniotomy)
- Subdural hematoma
- Epilepsy monitoring (4 dedicated EEG beds)
- Trauma patients
Patient Ratios
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license (Compact license required)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications
- Telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
- Central and peripheral line care
- Blood product administration
- Cardiac drip management (non-titration)
- Oxygen delivery and airway management
Nice to Have
- 2+ years charge experience
- PCU/stepdown or community hospital background
- Level II Trauma experience
Unit Support
Dedicated mentors, interdisciplinary collaboration with PT, OT, speech therapy, pharmacy, respiratory, and rapid response teams.
