Med/Surg Telemetry RN – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RN for night shifts. You'll care for acute patients across a mixed-acuity unit, including occasional pediatric and adolescent patients, with opportunities to float to the ER and ICU as needed.
Schedule & Details
- Shift: 4x12 hours, nights (7:15 PM – 7:15 AM)
- Days: Weekdays plus every other weekend
- Contract: 13 weeks, with possible extension
- Start: ASAP
Responsibilities
You'll manage telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV management, medication administration, non-invasive airway support, blood product administration, chest tube care, and wound management. You'll collaborate with LPNs on night shift and utilize 24/7 house supervisor support as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license (WV or Compact)
- 2+ years acute care/telemetry experience
- BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association)
- Comfortable with float assignments to ICU and ER
Preferred Qualifications
- PALS certification
- Charge nurse experience
- Pediatric care background
Additional Information
- Burgundy scrubs required (provided by candidate)
- Orientation every other Monday; 24 hours required
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
