Ultrasound Technologist – 13-Week Travel Assignment
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join the diagnostic imaging department on a 13-week contract. You'll perform comprehensive ultrasound imaging across multiple specialties in a community hospital setting serving adolescents and adults.
Schedule & Location
- Shift: 4 × 10-hour days (6:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Flexibility: Variable start times (6:30 AM or 11:00 AM); on-call opportunities during night shifts available
- Location: Petaluma, CA (50-mile radius)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
Requirements
- License: Valid compact state license (required at submission)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years charge-level experience; at least 1 year travel experience required; community hospital background required; Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Certifications: ARDMS, ARRT R*, RVT*, BLS; ARDMS certification in at least one category required
- References: 2 professional references covering the last 3 years (within 1 year of application preferred)
Clinical Scope
You'll perform obstetrical ultrasounds (1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester), vascular studies (carotid, renal artery duplex, arterial/venous extremity), abdominal imaging (liver, pancreas, gallbladder, spleen, renal/bladder), breast ultrasound, thyroid, and guided procedures including biopsies, fine needle aspirations, paracentesis, and thoracentesis.
Holiday Commitment
You must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.
Important Notes
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- You may be asked to float to nearby sister facilities; assignment refusal may result in contract termination
