Resource Pool RN – Telemetry/Med-Surg Float | Night Shift | Rancho Mirage, CA
This is a float pool RN position supporting multiple inpatient units (excluding L&D, ED, and Special Procedures). The role requires strong Med-Surg and Telemetry skills, with the ability to adapt quickly across care settings. The patient population is primarily adult and geriatric, presenting with complex, multi-comorbid conditions including cardiovascular disease, DM, COPD, hepatic disorders, oncology diagnoses, sepsis, alcohol withdrawal, neuro, ortho, and vascular conditions.
Assignment Details
- Schedule: Nights, 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Contract: 13 weeks | Start: October 26, 2026
- Location: Rancho Mirage, CA (permanent address must be 50+ miles from facility)
- Scrubs: Navy or white
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Telemetry/MS-Tele experience; prior travel experience required (no first-time travelers)
- Must have experience with at least 3 of the following cardiac drips: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Nitroglycerin
- Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias in real time
- Central line care and management
- Experience in a teaching hospital with residents strongly preferred
- Active California RN license required at time of submission
Required Certifications: BLS
Preferred Certifications: ACLS, PCCN, OCN
Additional Clinical Skills: BiPAP/CPAP, blood product administration, IV insulin protocols, heparin protocols, PICC line management, wound care, tracheostomy care, ABG interpretation
Scheduling Notes
- Every-other-weekend coverage required (minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period)
- Travelers may be called off or placed on call once per pay period; 60-minute callback required
- Flu vaccine required
