Surgical Services – Certified Surgical Technologist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the Operating Room team in Portsmouth, NH. This is a 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week.
Shift & Schedule
- Variable shifts: 8-hour (6:45 AM – 3:15 PM) or 10-hour (6:45 AM – 5:15 PM)
- Weekend shifts: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM or 7:15 AM – 6:45 PM
- Holidays follow the weekend schedule
- On-call availability: 12 or 24 hours on weekends
- Rotating weekend and holiday coverage required
Requirements
- CST certification (current and valid)
- BLS certification required
- New Hampshire Medical Technologist license required
- Minimum 2 years hospital experience
- Ability to scrub across multiple surgical specialties
Clinical Scope
The OR performs a broad range of procedures including orthopedic, general, ENT, gynecologic, plastic, neurosurgery, robotics, podiatry, and dental cases. Experience with robotic systems (Da Vinci, Mako) is preferred but not required. You'll work with a collaborative surgical team in a fast-paced environment.
What We're Looking For
Candidates should be friendly, professional, and self-motivated. You'll scrub most surgical specialties and take ownership of your role. Orthopedic and trauma experience is a plus.
