Staff RN – PACU

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Staff RN for its Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). You'll assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process. You'll lead and direct co-workers, delegating role-appropriate tasks while providing compassionate, patient- and family-centered care.

Shift & Schedule

• Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, three 8-hour shifts per week
• On-Call: One weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) every 4.5 weeks; 4–5 night calls per 6-week schedule
• Contract Duration: 8 weeks
• Start Date: August 24, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Manage post-operative patients in the immediate recovery phase
• Administer medications and perform treatments safely and accurately
• Notify physicians of pertinent observations and changes in patient status
• Provide thorough, accurate documentation of nursing care
• Ensure equipment and supplies are available and functioning
• Supervise and direct nursing assistants professionally

Required Qualifications

• Valid Ohio RN license
• CPR certification required
• Diploma in Nursing, ADN, or BSN from an accredited program
• Previous RN experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make independent decisions
• Capacity to remain calm in urgent situations and handle physical demands of patient care
