Medical-Surgical Nurse – 13-Week Travel Assignment
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Atlanta, GA. You'll work on a busy med-surg unit providing direct patient care and supporting the charge nurse function as needed.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: AM shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Hours: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours)
- Start: Every Monday (contract begins October 19, 2026)
- Scrubs: Navy blue
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients
- Manage wound care and post-operative assessments
- Administer and monitor PCA and epidural pain management
- Assume charge nurse duties when requested
- Support unit operations and collaborate with the care team
Required Qualifications
- RN license (GA or compact state license required, in hand)
- BLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience
- Surgical nursing experience
- Wound care experience
- PCA/epidural management experience
Assignment Details
- Duration: 13 weeks with guaranteed hours
- Travel Radius: 50-mile radius (non-local travelers only)
- Onboarding: Seamless orientation and support throughout assignment
