Med/Surg RN – Observation Unit

Location: Atlanta, GA

Shift: Night (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week

Contract: 13 weeks

Hours: 48 weekly (guaranteed)

Start Date: October 18, 2026

The facility seeks an experienced Med/Surg RN for its Inpatient Observation Unit—a fast-paced environment positioned near the Emergency Department. You'll care for a diverse patient population ranging from lower to higher acuity, including medical overflow, trauma overflow, and observation holds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care across a dynamic census with varying acuity levels
• Collaborate with ED and inpatient teams to support smooth patient flow
• Float to other acute care units as needed based on competency and facility needs

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience in a specialty setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required)
• TNCC certification (preferred)
• Holiday availability expected
