Observation Unit — Registered Nurse | Asheville, NC

Day Shift | 13-Week Contract

This travel RN opportunity is in a fast-paced Observation Unit providing close monitoring and short-stay care for patients requiring further evaluation before admission or discharge decisions are made.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• 36 guaranteed hours per week

Clinical Scope

Nurses on this unit manage telemetry-monitored patients across a range of acuities typical of an observation setting. Common procedures include continuous telemetry monitoring, Foley catheter insertion, and IV placement. The ideal candidate is comfortable working at a brisk pace and thriving in a collaborative team environment.

Float Requirement

Travelers may be required to float to other medical-surgical levels of care, including units focused on general med-surg, trauma, renal, adult medicine, neurology, orthopedics, spine, and general surgery.

Required Certifications & Skills

• Active RN license
• BLS (required)
• Telemetry Certification (required)
• Med-Surg Certification (preferred)
