Labor & Delivery RN — Travel Assignment
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment. You'll work day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), three 12-hour shifts per week, supporting a busy obstetric unit with 5 rooms and a typical daily census of 2–3 patients.
Your Role
You'll manage the full spectrum of L&D care: and assessment of obstetric patients, support for vaginal and cesarean deliveries, fetal monitoring, labor induction and augmentation, neonatal resuscitation, and postpartum recovery. You'll also provide couplet care, newborn assessment, breastfeeding support, and discharge teaching to families. Potential float to postpartum and other units based on census.
Requirements
- Current California state license (compact license accepted; pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 1 year L&D or obstetric nursing experience
- ACLS, BLS, NRPS, and AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced certification
- Ability to perform sterile vaginal exams (required skill)
- Willingness to work every other weekend
- Potential on-call shifts depending on census
- Must commit to working at least 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

- RTO requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer requests may not be granted
- Contract begins October 26, 2026
