Labor & Delivery RN — Travel Contract | Greensburg, PA

This 13-week travel assignment places an experienced L&D nurse in an active Labor & Delivery and unit caring for obstetric patients across the full acuity spectrum — from routine vaginal deliveries to high-risk antepartum and postpartum cases.

Shift: Rotating 3x12-hour shifts (Days 07:00–19:00 / Nights 19:00–07:00)

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Clinical Scope

• Full Labor & Delivery and OB responsibilities
• Management of high-risk conditions including pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, postpartum hemorrhage, preterm labor, PROM, and uterine rupture
• Circulate and scrub for cesarean sections; recover C-section patients
• Neonatal resuscitation, newborn assessment, and couplet care
• Fetal monitoring (external and internal), IUPC placement, and spiral electrode placement
• VBAC management, malpresentation, multiple gestation, and amnioinfusion
• Magnesium sulfate, pitocin, antihypertensives, and antiseizure therapy administration
• Breastfeeding and lactation support; discharge teaching

Patient Population: Neonates, adolescents, and adults

Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, NRP

Preferred: AWHONN Advanced, prior charge experience

Licensure: Active Pennsylvania or Compact RN license required

Additional Details

• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
• Weekend shifts required; every other holiday availability expected
• Float to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius may be required
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• 24-hour orientation; pre-start modules must be completed before first day
• Local candidates within 50 miles not accepted
