Emergency Department Nurse

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Emergency Department Nurse to deliver direct patient care in a high-volume, fast-paced setting. You'll work as part of a collaborative team including physicians, nursing residents, clerks, transporters, and patient care technicians.

Shift & Schedule

  • Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Start Date: October 25, 2026

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor patient care plans with critical thinking and decisive judgment.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition changes to the healthcare team.
  • Serve as primary coordinator across all disciplines for well-coordinated care.
  • Execute physician and nursing orders promptly and accurately.
  • Assess discharge planning needs and collaborate with team members.
  • Adhere to Standard Precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.
  • Work effectively in a stressful, high-acuity environment with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications

  • Current RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing (required prior to hire).
  • BLS Provider certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross) within 1 month of start date.
  • Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of start date.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of start date.

  • Onboarding includes skills validation, immunization requirements, background check, and drug screening.
