Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Position Overview

The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN to provide rapid, high-quality nursing care to patients experiencing acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening emergencies. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing patient needs through , assessment, intervention, stabilization, and ongoing evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform rapid and comprehensive patient assessments and determine priorities of care
• patients according to severity and urgency
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, neurological status, and changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and treatments as ordered
• Initiate and maintain IV access; obtain blood specimens for laboratory testing
• Assist with emergency procedures including CPR, trauma resuscitation, intubation, and wound care
• Operate and monitor emergency equipment including cardiac monitors and defilurators
• Recognize signs of deterioration and initiate appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
• Provide care for medical, surgical, cardiac, neurological, psychiatric, pediatric, and trauma emergencies
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow infection-control and medication-safety protocols

Required Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification (may be required)
• TNCC certification (preferred or required)
• Previous emergency department, critical care, or acute-care nursing experience preferred

Shift & Contract Details

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Contract Duration: 12 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Start Date: October 26, 2026
