Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Location: Murfreesboro, TN

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Contract Duration: 12 weeks | Guaranteed Hours: 36/week

About the Role

The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN to provide rapid, high-quality care to patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening emergencies. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where clinical judgment, quick decision-making, and compassionate care are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform rapid assessments and patients by acuity.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and neurological status.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and emergency treatments.
• Initiate and maintain IV access; obtain laboratory specimens.
• Assist with emergency procedures: CPR, trauma resuscitation, intubation, wound care.
• Operate cardiac monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps, and ventilators.
• Recognize patient deterioration and intervene promptly.
• Manage a wide range of medical, surgical, cardiac, neurological, psychiatric, pediatric, and trauma emergencies.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and the care team.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow infection-control and medication-safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license (Nursys verification required).
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS and/or TNCC certification may be required.
• Previous emergency department, critical care, or acute-care nursing experience preferred.
