Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Location: Murfreesboro, TN

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Contract Duration: 12 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

The facility's Emergency Department seeks a skilled RN to deliver rapid, high-quality care to patients experiencing acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening emergencies in a fast-paced environment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform rapid assessments and patients by acuity and urgency.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, neurological status, and changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and treatments as ordered.
• Establish and maintain intravenous access; obtain blood specimens for testing.
• Assist with emergency procedures including CPR, trauma resuscitation, intubation, and wound care.
• Operate cardiac monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps, and ventilators.
• Recognize patient deterioration and initiate prompt interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and the healthcare team.
• Provide care for medical, surgical, cardiac, neurological, psychiatric, pediatric, and trauma emergencies.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow infection-control and safety protocols.

Required Credentials:

• Current, unrestricted RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification (may be required).
• TNCC certification (preferred or required).

Preferred Experience:

Emergency department, critical care, or acute-care nursing background.
