Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Position Overview

The facility's Emergency Room is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver rapid, high-quality care to patients experiencing acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening emergencies. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where clinical judgment, quick decision-making, and effective teamwork are essential.

Shift & Contract Details

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Duration: 12 weeks
• Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Start Date: October 26, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Perform rapid patient assessments and according to acuity and urgency
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, neurological status, and patient changes
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and treatments as ordered
• Establish and maintain intravenous access; obtain laboratory specimens
• Assist with emergency procedures: CPR, trauma resuscitation, intubation, wound care, and lifesaving interventions
• Operate cardiac monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps, ventilators, and other emergency equipment
• Recognize patient deterioration and initiate appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and the healthcare team
• Provide care for medical, surgical, cardiac, neurological, psychiatric, pediatric, and trauma-related emergencies
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic health record documentation
• Adhere to infection-control and medication-safety protocols

Required Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• PALS and/or TNCC certifications may be required
• Previous emergency department, critical care, or acute-care nursing experience preferred
