PACU Nurse – Travel Position
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced PACU nurse to join the post-anesthesia care unit for a 13-week contract. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced recovery setting, monitoring patients emerging from general anesthesia and managing their immediate post-operative needs.
Schedule & Requirements
- Shift: 4 × 10-hour day shifts per week
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- License: Active GA or compact RN license required
Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months of PACU experience
- Experience with general anesthesia patients
- Current BLS certification (CPR card in hand)
What You'll Do
Monitor vital signs and patient status during the critical recovery phase. Assess pain, nausea, and complications. Communicate with the surgical and anesthesia teams. Document care and coordinate discharge readiness with the nursing staff.
