Mother Infant RN — Postpartum | Chillicothe, OH
13-Week Contract | Nights | 3x12s | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
This Mother Infant unit provides care for postpartum couplets, postpartum-only patients, gynecological surgery patients, and low-risk antepartum patients. The role involves a broad clinical scope across both maternal and newborn care.
Maternal Care Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive postpartum and antepartum assessments
- IV insertion and management, blood draws
- Foley catheter insertion, management, and removal
- Care of gynecological surgery patients
Newborn Care Responsibilities:
- Newborn assessments and blood draws
- 24-hour newborn testing and hearing screenings
- Glucose management
- Eat, Sleep, Console (ESC) assessments
Schedule:
- Nights: 1900–0730, three 12-hour shifts per week
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- No on-call requirements
- Weekends: at least every third weekend
- Holidays: as assigned
Requirements:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of Mother Infant nursing experience
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility
