Registered Nurse – NICU
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the NICU. You'll deliver coordinated, high-quality nursing care to neonatal patients while supervising and directing nursing staff activities. This role requires strong clinical judgment, collaboration with the care team, and a commitment to family-centered care in a specialized newborn environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 4 x 12-hour shifts per week
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Holiday requests will not be approved
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized care for neonatal patients
- Supervise and delegate appropriately to nursing staff
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and other disciplines
- Educate patients' families and coordinate discharge planning
- Maintain a safe, healing care environment
- Participate in quality and safety initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in California
- Current BLS certification from an approved vendor
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification
- S.T.A.B.L.E. certification
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
- NICU or neonatal specialty experience preferred
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
