Cath Lab Technologist

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week contract in Eureka, California. This is a day shift role (06:30–17:00, 4x10 hours) managing 8–12 procedures daily in a busy interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular lab.

Clinical Scope

You'll support coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures, peripheral vascular interventions, and permanent pacemaker insertions. Expected skills include angioplasty, stent placement, pacemaker insertion, hemodynamic monitoring, cardioversion, carotid stenting, central venous access, and chest tube placement. Experience with electrophysiology lab work is preferred.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years cath lab experience (first-timers considered with manager approval)
  • ARRT certification required; RCIS accepted only with 5+ years of experience
  • Fluoroscopy permit, BLS, and ACLS
  • Pending fluoroscopy permit acceptable if application submitted before placement
  • Valid state license (compact license in hand at submission)
  • 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years

Schedule & Staffing

  • Day shift only; no weekends required
  • No float requirement within this lab
  • Call requirement: up to 4 days per week, varies by need
  • Guaranteed hours; facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
  • Must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • 30-hour orientation

Beautiful Eureka, California—easy driving distance to national and state parks, the California coast, and the famous Redwood Highway. The facility offers housing assistance, including realtor support if needed. Free parking during orientation; assigned parking thereafter.
