Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join the rehabilitation team. You'll evaluate and treat patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, developing individualized plans of care based on standardized assessments and evidence-based practice.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 8-hour days
- 13-week contract
- Float to other units as needed
- No on-call or weekend requirements
Clinical Responsibilities
- Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and modify treatment plans based on patient progress and outcomes
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
- Participate in care conferences, utilization reviews, and rehabilitation meetings
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and discharge summaries per regulatory standards
- Supervise CFY or student speech-language pathologists as assigned
- Adhere to ASHA standards and state practice requirements
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Massachusetts State License
- CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) from ASHA
- Minimum 1 year of SLP experience (new graduates with Level II clinical experience welcome)
- LTC or rehabilitation setting experience required
- One professional reference at time of submission
