Position Overview
The facility is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join its rehabilitation team. You will work days, 8-hour shifts, 35 hours per week for a 13-week contract in Haverhill, MA. Start date: October 19, 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders using standardized assessments and evidence-based practices
- Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with regulatory and clinical standards
- Deliver skilled interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities and exercises, modality application, and assistive device training
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments, and document outcomes in the electronic health record
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
- Participate in patient care conferences, rehabilitation meetings, and required in-services
- Generate comprehensive discharge summaries per regulatory requirements
- Supervise occupational therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students as needed
- Maintain adherence to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice standards and ethics
Required Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts OT license
- Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience
- Long-term care or rehabilitation experience required
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Schedule
7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday. No on-call or weekend requirements.
