PCU / Stepdown

Progressive Care / Stepdown Nurse — Cardiac PCU/IMCU | Atlanta, GA

This is a hybrid unit caring for both stepdown and telemetry patients across a cardiac-focused population. The position involves managing patients presenting with STEMI, NSTEMI, chest pain, and post-cardiac surgery diagnoses, as well as administering vasoactive and inotropic drips including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and pressors.

Nurses may also be assigned to telemetry beds within the same unit for patients at lower acuity levels, making flexibility between care levels an expectation of the role.

• Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 3x12s
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
• Contract duration: 13 weeks
• Anticipated start: October 18, 2026

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a comparable PCU, IMCU, or stepdown setting
• Proficiency with cardiac drip management
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
