Neuro/Surgical Telemetry RN — Travel Contract | Jackson, TN
Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Unit
This Neuro/Surgical Telemetry floor manages adult and geriatric patients with neurological and telemetry-monitored diagnoses, including CVA, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and post-neurosurgical care. The unit operates at a consistent census with strong interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, IV therapy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services.
Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to other Med/Surg or Telemetry units and to a low-acuity ICU as needed.
Schedule & Expectations
- 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule required
- Holiday availability required
- No on-call obligations
Required Certifications & Licensure
- Active Tennessee or compact RN license
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
- Travel experience preferred; local candidates accepted
- Clinical skills should include: telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management, HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, central line and PICC care, heparin and IV insulin protocols, chest tube management, blood product administration, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, and pre/post hemodialysis management
Additional Requirements
- Electronic health record proficiency within the past 18 months must be clearly documented on your profile; a competency exam is required (one attempt only)
- All certifications must be active and in hand at time of submission
- All requested time off must be disclosed at submission; no additional RTO will be approved
