Med/Surg Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Greensboro, NC | 26-Week Contract
This is a 26-week commitment only — candidates must be willing to accept the full contract duration if an offer is extended.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights, 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday rotation included
- Anticipated start: October 19, 2026
Unit Overview
The unit primarily serves a Med/Surg patient population within a telemetry-capable setting. RNs must be comfortable with cardiac monitoring and EKG interpretation, as all nurses are required to pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (two attempts allowed).
Clinical Responsibilities
- Blood product administration and peripheral line care/management
- IV starts, Heparin, insulin, and PCA management
- Nasal cannula oxygen delivery
- Isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Rapid response/code team participation
- Additional skills: BiPAP/CPAP, oral suctioning, feeding tube care, PICC line management, wound care/wound vac, colostomy/ileostomy care, and surgical drain management
- Charge RN shifts required as needed
Float Requirement
Travelers may be floated to any campus within the health system as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience, including charge experience
- Active RN license in hand at time of submission
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Prior travel experience required
- No candidates within a 50-mile radius of the facility
- No open background check cases
- Third-party education verification required
Compliance Notes
- All requested time off must be submitted with the initial application
- Orientation includes non-billable modules (approximately 2–4 hours, unit-based)
