Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | Reidsville, NC

13-Week Contract | 3×12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

This fast-paced Emergency Department cares for patients across all age groups — neonates through geriatrics — in a combined adult/pediatric setting. The unit sees approximately 88 visits per day and is supported by a full interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and physical therapy.

Schedule & Expectations

• 3×12-hour night shifts; every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required — must work 2 of 4 holidays during the contract
• Float to other campus locations as needed
• No pre-approved RTO after submission; RTO must be included at time of application

Required Certifications

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
• TNCC preferred

Required Skills

• Arterial line and central line management
• Care of ventilated patients; BiPAP/CPAP management
• Continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Blood product administration
• Neurological and trauma care: TBI, spinal cord injury, CVA, head injury, ICP monitoring
• ; phlebotomy; ABG interpretation

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• First-time travelers welcome
• Electronic health record experience required
• STEMI/Stroke certified facility experience preferred; charge experience preferred
• Active RN license must be in hand at time of submission
• All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• No candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility
• Third-party education verification required

Orientation: Approximately 12 hours; non-billable online modules average 2–4 hours and are completed during orientation.
