Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse

Position Overview

The facility seeks a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll care for medical-surgical patients on telemetry monitoring in a busy inpatient setting, with potential to float to designated units serving the same patient population.

Shift & Schedule

• Rotating 3x12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM (days) and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (nights)
• Shifts may rotate as needed to meet operational demands; the facility will work to honor your preference when possible
• You must work at least every other holiday
• Start date: October 23, 2026

Requirements

• License: Permanent Ohio license or valid compact state license (in hand at submission)
• Experience: Minimum 12 months permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele or similar specialty
• Certifications (active and current):
• BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Reference: One manager, supervisor, or director reference from the past 12 months (no peer references)

Pre-Start & Orientation

• ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment required during orientation; passing scores are mandatory (maximum 2 attempts)
• Orientation modules: 6–15 hours (4 hours billable for pre-start)
• BCI/FBI background clearance must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing

Vaccines

• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Extensions: Available up to 18 months total; a 6-month break is then required before returning
