Med Surg

Medical-Surgical RN | Comprehensive Medical Unit | Zanesville, OH

This 13-week travel contract places you primarily on a Comprehensive Medical-Surgical unit, with occasional float responsibilities across specialty Med-Surg areas including Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarder management.

Shift & Schedule

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirement
• Start date: November 16, 2026

Clinical Scope

You'll care for a diverse general medical population while drawing on telemetry and stepdown skills. Float assignments may include patients with acute neurological, oncological, or cardiac diagnoses. Telemetry reading competency will be assessed on day one — candidates must be fully prepared to demonstrate this skill.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of current, recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown RN experience
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry rhythms
• Current EMR proficiency (no on-site training or refresher orientation available)
• Active BLS certification
• All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of submission

Additional Notes

The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours over the course of the 13-week contract. Canceled hours are not limited to full 12-hour shifts.
