Medical-Surgical RN — Night Shift | Charleston, SC
This 13-week travel contract places you on a high-performing medical-surgical unit working night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with every-other-weekend rotation. Overtime is available.
Unit Overview
The unit manages a mixed post-operative and medical-surgical patient population in a fast-paced environment. The team is well-supported, with patient care technicians and a unit secretary on each shift. The unit operates as a pilot program with dedicated case management and social work support, recognized for handling complex patient dispositions safely and effectively.
Procedures & Clinical Scope
- Wound care
- Intake/output catheterization
- Tracheostomy care
- EKG monitoring
- Bladder scanning
- Ultrasound-guided IV insertion
Schedule
- 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week
- Every-other-weekend requirement
- PRN float policy
Requirements
- Active RN license
- BLS certification
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Medical-surgical experience required
Dress Code
Navy blue or white scrubs
