Registered Respiratory Therapist – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week assignment in Respiratory Services. This is a night shift role (18:30–07:00) based in Asheville, NC, offering 36 guaranteed hours per week.
About the Role
You'll deliver respiratory care across critical care units and general floors, managing a diverse patient population. Your responsibilities include ventilator management, non-invasive ventilation, high-flow oxygen therapy, and transport support. You'll work with adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients in a high-acuity environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current North Carolina Respiratory License
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Preferred Qualifications
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Unit Details
- Float to all critical care units and floors
- Patient ratios: 10–25
- Staffing: 12–16 RRTs on night shift for adult service lines; 3–4 for NICU/Peds
- Dress code: Medium gray/pewter scrubs
- Weekend schedule: Varying weekends (at least 4 per 6-week schedule)
