Progressive Care / Observation RN — Asheville, NC

Day Shift | 13-Week Contract

This inpatient overflow unit manages a mixed acuity population, including medical-surgical and step-down patients, with a focus on short-stay admissions (target length of stay under 24 hours). The pace is fast with high patient turnover, requiring strong adaptability and efficient clinical judgment.

Shift & Schedule

• Every other weekend required; no on-call obligations
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Patient Population & Clinical Scope

• Mixed medical-surgical and progressive care patients
• Telemetry monitoring required; all monitored patients are hardwired to bedside monitors
• Short-stay, high-turnover environment

Required Skills & Certifications

• Telemetry competency — required
• Progressive care experience — required
• Recent progressive care experience — preferred
• BLS and ACLS (current, required)
