Neuroscience ICU — Travel RN | Asheville, NC

Night Shift | 13-Week Contract

This Neuro ICU position focuses on high-acuity neurological and neurosurgical patients in a specialized critical care setting. The unit manages complex cases including post-thrombectomy and tPA patients, post-neurosurgery recovery, and patients requiring close neurological monitoring.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Self-scheduling with unit needs considered
• 6 weekend shifts per scheduling period
• 36 guaranteed hours per week

Clinical Scope

• Neurology-experienced ICU nurses strongly preferred
• Procedures include CRRT, bedside external ventricular drain (EVD) management, and arterial line monitoring
• Care of post-thrombectomy, tPA, and post-neurosurgical patients

Float Requirements

• Travelers float first to other ICU units or step-down as needed

Required Certifications & Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS and ACLS (required)
• NIHSS certification (required)
• Minimum ICU experience required; neuroscience or neuro ICU background preferred

Dress Code

• Navy blue scrubs
