Emergency Department Nurse
Location: Asheville, NC
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Duration: 16 weeks

About the Role
You'll provide care across all ED areas, including trauma, stroke, behavioral health, and pediatric patients. This is a fast-paced environment where teamwork, real-time communication, and flexibility are essential.
What You'll Do
- Deliver direct patient care in a trauma and stroke center setting
- Float flexibly across all ED sections as needed
- Work every other weekend; no block scheduling available
- Collaborate with ED techs, unit clerks, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain AIDET standards and update patients throughout their visit
What We Need
- Minimum 2 years as a registered nurse with at least 1 year in an ED setting
- Experience in a Level 2 trauma center or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits annually) preferred
- Strong teamwork mentality with ability to coach and give feedback in real time
- Flexibility to work all areas of the ED
Required Certifications
ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, ENPC, and CPI (by hire date)
