About the Role
The facility's Emergency Department is a high-volume, fast-paced unit serving a diverse, multicultural community.This is a trauma and stroke center, so you'll encounter acuity ranging from urgent care to critical interventions.
What You'll Do
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care using AIDET principles and maintain respectful patient interactions
- Float flexibly within all ED sections (no floating outside the department)
- Work alongside techs, unit clerks, and a collaborative team known for strong teamwork and welcoming personalities
- Support a community speaking over 120 languages
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years nursing experience; minimum 1 year in an ER setting
- Experience in a Level II trauma center or comprehensive stroke center preferred
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, ENPC
- CPI certification required by hire date
- Navy scrubs
Schedule & Flexibility
- Every other weekend required
