Emergency Department RN — Asheville, NC

Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 13-Week Contract

This busy Emergency Department serves a highly diverse, multicultural community and manages a broad spectrum of acuity — from medical and trauma patients to behavioral health holds. The department is well-supported, with techs stationed in cardiac monitoring and internal processing areas, as well as unit clerks on both day and night shifts.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 18:45–07:15
• Every other weekend required
• No block scheduling; scheduling is driven by department needs
• Floating within the ED only — must be flexible to work all sections

Patient Population & Acuity

• High-volume emergency care including trauma, stroke, and behavioral health presentations

Required Certifications *(must be current prior to submission unless noted)*

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, ENPC
• CPI (required by date of hire)

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an ED setting
• Experience in a high-volume emergency environment strongly preferred
• Strong teamwork orientation with ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Flexibility to work all areas of the department

Dress Code: Navy scrubs
