Emergency Department Nurse – 16-Week Contract

Position Overview

Join a high-volume Emergency Department as a Registered Nurse. You'll provide care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced, collaborative environment known for strong teamwork and welcoming culture.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 16-week contract
• Flexible scheduling to meet department needs; block scheduling cannot be accommodated

Clinical Setting

The facility is a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center. The ED manages high-acuity patients including trauma, stroke, and behavioral health cases. You'll work alongside experienced staff and have access to supportive techs, unit clerks, and cardiac monitoring capabilities.

Patient Care & Ratios

• Focus on AIDET principles, respectful care, and patient experience

Flexibility & Scope

• Must be open to floating within all ED sections
• No floating outside the ED
• Participate in real-time coaching and feedback culture

Required Certifications (before hire)

ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, ENPC

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience
• At least 1 year in an ER setting
• Level II trauma center experience preferred
• Teamwork mentality and flexibility
