Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | Derby, KS

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

About the Unit

This is a busy freestanding emergency department managing a diverse patient population across varying acuity levels. The unit operates a pod-based model with dedicated physician and midlevel coverage on every shift. You'll care for both adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced environment that demands adaptability and clinical confidence.

Clinical Scope

• IV starts and medication administration
• Procedural sedation
• Pediatric emergencies (team nursing model)

Staffing Structure (per pod, per shift)

• 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, 1 midlevel

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of ED RN experience
• Active BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
• CPI Blue Card
• Prior travel or large-facility experience

Preferred Qualifications

• ENPC certification
• Comfort with a high-volume, fast-paced environment
