Cardiac Care – Non-Invasive Cardiology | Travel Nurse | Cedar Rapids, IA

This 13-week travel assignment places you in a non-invasive cardiology procedure unit on a day-shift schedule with no call and no weekend requirements.

Schedule

• Days, 5×8-hour shifts
• Start time: 7:00–7:30 AM | End time: ~4:30–5:00 PM
• No call | No weekends
• Holiday coverage required (1–2 holidays per contract period)

Clinical Scope

The unit supports non-invasive cardiology procedures including transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), cardioversions, and stress testing. You will provide pre-procedure, procedural, and post-procedure care across a small, focused unit.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of experience in a cardiac, cardiology, cath, or vascular setting
• Pre/post-op experience required
• TEE experience required
• Cardioversion experience required
• Diagnostic procedure experience required
• Stress testing experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 3 years of relevant experience

Certifications & Licensure

• BLS (AHA or ARC) required
• Active Iowa RN license required
• Valid driver's license required

Submission Requirements

• Resume must reflect 24 months of current cardiac/cath/pre-post-op experience
• Discipline-specific skills checklist required
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, or nurse manager within the past 24 months preferred

Additional Notes

• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (verified by driver's license)
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Anticipated start: late October
