Cardiac Catheterization Lab Technologist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Cardiac Catheterization Lab Technologist for a 13-week contract in Des Moines, Iowa. You'll work in a busy cath lab environment performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures alongside a dedicated clinical team.
Schedule & Hours
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday
- Schedule: 4x10s (40 hours/week)
- On Call: 1 night per week & every 3rd weekend (7:30 PM Friday – 7:00 AM Monday)
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Scrub and circulate in the cath lab
- Monitor patient status and equipment during procedures
- Float to other campuses as assigned for like-unit coverage
- Maintain proficiency in peripheral vascular and structural heart procedures
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months current experience in cardiac catheterization lab
- 24 months documented work history in cath lab setting
- ARRT or RCIS certification
- BLS (AHA) certification
- Scrubbing proficiency
- Travel experience within the past 18 months
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Experience
- Peripheral vascular procedures
- Structural heart experience
- Trauma Level II experience
- Interventional radiology or EP background
Note: Candidates must be located at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address. Winter holiday coverage required.
