Neuro ICU RN – 12-Hour Day Shift

The Opportunity

The facility's Neuro ICU is a high-acuity unit managing complex neurological patients requiring intensive monitoring and intervention. This is a fast-paced environment with significant patient acuity and clinical variety.

Position Details

• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Schedule: Every other weekend; first-call float requirement
• Contract: 42 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
• Location: Houston, TX

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 3+ years of neuro ICU experience
• CRRT certification (must be current)
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Willingness to float to support unit needs and flexibility with scheduling

What You'll Do

Deliver direct patient care to critically ill neurological patients in a busy, dynamic ICU setting. You'll perform advanced assessments, manage complex drips and monitoring, and collaborate with an interprofessional team. Floating is part of the role—candidates must embrace flexibility.

Scheduling Notes

No self-scheduling. The hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment (3 shifts for shorter assignments).

Parking: On- and off-campus options available ($15/day or $95–$120 monthly pass).

This role is ideal for experienced travel nurses who thrive in high-acuity, fast-paced environments and are comfortable with adaptability.
