Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN – Night Shift

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts: 18:45–07:15
• 3 nights per week (36- or 48-hour contracts accepted)
• Contracts available up to 13 weeks, with potential extensions through February 2027
• Every other weekend required
• No call
• Maximum 7 days of paid time off per contract (pre-approval required)

The Role

Core Responsibilities

• Continuous telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Blood product administration, IV management, central line draws, PICC line care
• Chest tube management, non-invasive airway support (BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula)
• Feeding tube and ostomy care, pre/post-hemodialysis management
• Rapid response and code team activation as needed
• Wound care, wound vac management

Float Requirements

Float to other medical/surgical units within the facility and to the main campus location (approximately 32 minutes away) as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license (North Carolina or Compact; pending license acceptable)
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• EKG testing required prior to start
• Ability to work holidays
• First-time travelers welcome; charge experience preferred
